Code of Conduct

All events I participate in must have a clearly defined, publicly accessible Code of Conduct that is actively enforced. This protects everyone in the room; speakers, attendees, and organizers alike. If your event doesn't have one, I'm happy to point you toward examples to get started.

Logistics

Travel & Accommodations

My employer may cover expenses for events aligned with our mission. For everything else, travel and accommodations are worked out on a per-event basis.

For events requiring significant time zone adjustments, I request to arrive 1–2 days before my speaking slot to ensure I'm at my best when I step on stage.

Compensation

Speaking Fees

• Community / Non-Profit Events — No fee. I believe in giving back to the community that has given so much to me.
• Corporate / For-Profit Events — Negotiable based on event scale, format, and keynote status.

A/V Setup

Technical Requirements

I work with two configurations. Please confirm which is available at least 7 days before the event.

Audio

I require a lavalier or cheek microphone. A handheld mic is acceptable as a backup but not ideal as I like to move when I speak.

Speaking Formats

• Keynote — 45–60 minutes
• Breakout Session — 30–60 minutes
• Panel — Flexible
• Virtual — Available; setup details provided on request

Content Rights

Recordings & Intellectual Property

All presentation content remains my intellectual property. I reserve the right to deliver the same or similar talks at other events.

Recording is welcome with advance notice, provided:

• Recordings are captioned for accessibility
• Content is not placed behind a paywall without my express written permission
• A copy of the final recording is shared with me for promotional use

Use of my name, likeness, slides, images, or recorded voice for purposes beyond standard event promotion requires prior written consent.

Cancellation

I reserve the right to withdraw from an event if safety, ethical, or conduct concerns arise. If that happens, I will make every reasonable effort to present remotely as an alternative.
